Exploring the Story of God's Love

All children age three through highs school are invited to join us for Sunday School Sundays from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. (September-May), following the 8 a.m. worship service. We connect with God’s word, each other, and caring adults in loving community at St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Three year-olds through grade 4 engage in fun, interactive, multi-sensory experiences using the Spark Rotational lesson program to get youth excited about God’s Word. Spark lessons are taken from the Old and New Testament through games, art, music, and science to accommodate all the different ways kids learn. The Old Testament stories are presented in the fall quarter and the New Testament stories are presented in the winter and spring quarters. Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost stories are included in the lesson sequence each year. Check out the Spark website for more information.

5th and 6th Grade journey through the Bible, the Old Testament and into the New Testament, exploring the connections between several stories each week, utlizing the Connect Curriculum. Every Connect lesson follows a three-part sequence: See, Explore, and Make. Each week, we focus on and reinforce a theme by watching a witty video, exploring biblical text, and creating projects that range from games to art and more.
7th and 8th Grade classes use a self-directed study led by caring adults who craft weekly experiences around the interests and desires of the youth as they engage with God’s word, service projects, and their own lives to bring faith to life!
