Freezer Meals Available
Bless Someone who Needs a Meal
by Sonja G
A group of St. Peter women gathered in April to prepare freezer meals for our own families and to make some for the St. Peter freezer. There are a variety of meals and each is designed to serve six people.
If you know of someone that would be blessed by a meal because of circumstances in their life right now, stop in to the church and select a meal noting on the spreadsheet on the freezer which meal you’ve taken. Or you can call the church office (515-986-3077) and someone will move the meal from the freezer to the refrigerator and put your name on it. The meal needs to thaw for 3 to 5 days, so you can pick it up during that time. Some recipes need 1 or 2 fresh items, such as tortillas or hamburger buns, and those items will be indicated on the recipe attached to the bag. Pick those up at the store and prepare the meal according to the instructions on the recipe. Some recipes are in the crock pot, others in the oven, others in a skillet, but they all turn out wonderfully. The meal is ready to deliver and you will know that you’ve been a blessing . . . God’s Work, Our Hands! If you have questions you can reach out to Kerry Schiller (515-201-3877) or Carol Eilers (515-971-1136).
